The Social Seeker Using Its Random Act Of "Kindness"

I had an epiphany during a workout one day while listening to a podcast.  It opened my eyes to the amount people who broadcasted their "KINDNESS" simply for the show of social media attention & its epic proportions in gaining a viral validation instead of just being an ever day good samaritan.  The desire now a days for media power & social attention has become one of the largest invisible drugs out there, corrupting the character & virtue of those who crave its spotlight.

Im not saying that every one who posts all their "random act of kindness" or anything for that matter are solely out for the publics attention or round of applause, but I'm pretty sure that this for many has become a tool of capital to gain influence in an arena that otherwise in their daily life wouldn't ever hit the mark.  What makes so many people need to be noticed all the time, now going to epic proportions of noticeability who silently screams look at me?

I mean, I've personally made videos to boost my MagicalMaven brand & its presence on social media, creating content as a form of business advertising but that's not what Im talking about.  After the podcast I listened too, I started noticing in all my social media feeds the constant occurring & reoccurring posts from people using their "random acts of kindness" as a way to get personal validation & attention.  Who really needs to know you held the door open for an elderly person at the grocery store, followed by a selfie displaying the two of you in its random act of kindness.

What once was considered to be just doing a day good deeds, has now become a flaunting fest.  It is scripted & filtered for gaining selfish popularity with its attention, fueled by the undetected addiction & invisible greed that comes along with it.  I don't even think that people realize the extent of its behavior & the inner need for notoriety that plays along with it.  It as if that random acts of kindness has become a one up game played globally for the social media status seeker.

Technology has brilliantly somehow manage to create a social experiment at the expense of our own emotional well being.  It's inflated becoming a mass behavioral epidemic, needing reactions of the hearts, likes & shares as a form of self importance.  I wonder how many of those who are on this path of eternal conquest of recognition are behind closed doors struggling with a highly depleted self because of it.  I know that while the social media platforms have mega boomed, the actual human mental heath factor has become a serious universal problem because of it.

Any time you need a social external environment like that to nourish & validate the inner workings of your own human spirit, you end up depleting & feeding the wrong container.  The moment your good deed becomes an opportunity for selfish recognition & applause, you're longer doing it for the correct reason.  People have forgotten what it means to do something from the kindness of their own heart, without the recording or evidence that proves you're a generous good human being.

Next time you decided you truly want to do something nice for someone else, try doing it without the notoriety that you want to come with it.  Do it because it truly makes You feel warm inside,  not because it's used to show a world something else about you that maybe you otherwise would not be.  Peace Love Faith Hope <3 <3 <3
