our 1st Mexican adventure..

my husband and I traveled to Mexico last week for the first time ever..i was a bit "afraid" and skeptical because of all the media and advice that you get and took it with a splash of salt..for starters having duel citizenship to Israel and having a lot of people say the same things about that country aloud me to filter what was just political uneducated nonsense bla bla and what was healthy eating, street smart conscious advice..as a human who is intrigued by culture and ancient society, Mexico happens to be a place on my top 5 to travel due to my love for the beach, nature, ruins, and of course CRYSTALS..yes, I will admit, at first the thought of just basting on a beach for 6 days seemed divine in itself, simply for the pure fact that Michigan has had a long hard cold snowy winter and one needs at times to just thaw the fuck out..the truth is, after experiencing a day with our guide on an excursion that we signed up for at the hotel gave me just a little hint of what mexico in general has to offer..it is way much more than the tropical atmosphere of beautiful breathtaking beaches that i had previously imagined and planned for..i am truly intrigued at the antiquity of mother natures masterpieces and ancient structures that has yet to be seen by me and the culture as a whole i found to be warm, kind and very inviting..lets be honest though, as a tourist i can see the idea that most locals are solely out to capitalize on me as one who probably sticks out like a soar thumb..who doesn't want to make a dollar and be able to make a living and provide for their family..we have it here too in America, we just happen to bedazzle it a lot better with surface fluff and talk and in corporate America making it much easier on the eye to camouflage and digest but beneath the exterior we are all the same don't be fooled!our resort was lovely and clean, nothing overly fancy but had all the accommodations one would require and need..i found the staff to be helpful and warm always with a smile followed by an "ola"..the food was abundant and fresh, delicious and never disappointed us what so ever..i will say this though, the buffets were way better than the restaurants for our needs simply out of the respect of Eran keeping kosher and i being a marcietarian..overall it was finger licking good..the beach was utterly beautiful and amazing and the sea was a spectacular color of turquoise that makes you stop dead in the sand to just to look at..however i will say this, mother nature at this time of year has unlimited amounts of sea weed that washes ashore daily in that area of beach..so no matter how hard the staff worked to try to keep it clean, you cannot control the nature of the sea and her own inner universe..overall, it was by far one of the most beautiful places i stood to look out at life from taking in all its beauty..i think the fundaments of a vacation in general lay within the body of the person receiving and experiencing them..i watched daily people behave according to their overall well being..if your a miserable asshole with expectations that are unreasonable, then nothing will ever satisfy or be good enough for you matching the innerness of your own personal world..if your shitfaced the entire time, your seeing your vacation from the drunken viewpoint of your skewed sense of reality going either way in that moment and created memories..if your laid back and have an open mind and heart, you will discover there is room for abundant opportunities and experiences that allow you the ability at having the most fun..i put aside all my fears and reservations and trusted the universe to take me on an adventure with the love of my soul..knowing i was with eran made everything i did and tried easier because i felt protected and safe..i did things on this trip that challenged me and pushed my boundaries emotionally and mentally that in the end opened up a space for me to grow..this is what life in the long run is about, being in these moments and allowing it to energize and nourish you to blossom while having fun and enjoying the time you spend doing it..peace love faith hope <3
