Winter Solstice Dec 21

It's been quite the year as we seasonally head into the darkest period of the shortest day ever, celebrating the PEAK of the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere. Most people assume (because it's been written incorrectly on the calendar by humans) that this is the first day of winter when in reality if you watch & pay closer attention to nature & the lunar cycles, we are actually smack dab right in the middle of its season. This alone makes me wonder if nature had the ability to write its own story, how much of what we are taught to believe would be incorrect.

Winter Solstice is the celebration of the suns light coming back around, marking the ending of the darkest period in its season as the days begin to now become longer & longer. In ancient times in the Northern Hemesphere they believed this specific day was the suns rebirth, the moment or reset which is why throughout out time time its been celebrated as the dawn of the new beginning. This specific energy is about the revival of all life that has been hunkered down or hibernating over the last few months, following the process of letting life go of the attachments that were not necessary in order to conserve & sustain its energy during the cold dark season.

It was in the last few months that we should have been actively working through the shadow aspects of ourself, pealing back the layers that exposes the natural light within for renewal. Most of us carry from season to season, year to year an array of luggage that is physical, emotional, mental & spiritual that over time becomes toxic to our life & outdated. We are often times taught through shame & guilt to hold tightly onto things that define us through the eyes of someone else, an inaccurate truth about our own self that only exists in their past. By holding onto these conditions that sacrifice a change, we allow them a present day life that naturally conflicts with the natural alignment of growth & the ability to create a healthier authenticity to your life.

The Winter Solstice is a beautiful time to let that shit go, creating room to design plans you wish to make for the coming months of spring. This specific time of year is full of that magical energy that begins to replenish the light within, softening the heaviness that was leftover from Autumn Equinox while beginning to shine its powerful glow of warmth around the Northern Hemisphere. Nature teaches us everything we need to know if we as humans are able to read the unspoken language of its presence, showing us it's now the beginning stage to comeback into the light to reawaken. Happy Winter Solstice.
